Gormenghast is both a castle and a city-state. It is also a BBC mini-series from 2000. It tells the story of the ruling Groan family and of a man who seeks to overthrow them. It is based on Mervyn Peake’s complex books that have been classified as fantasy, fantastic and even post-apocalyptic science-fiction….
