Life on Mars was a 2006/2007 BBC series that combined time-travel and police-procedural genres. Police Detective Sam Tyler has a car accident in 2006 and wakes up in 1973. Is he mad? Is he in a coma? Did he go back in time?

Chiller was a 1995 anthology horror series from ITV. Actors and behind-the-scenes contributors included Serena Gordon, Martin Clunes, Nigel Havers, John Simm, Maggie O’Neill, Lawrence Gordon Clark, Stephen Gallagher, Anthony Horowitz and many others. 
Two legendary shows were first broadcast 50 years ago today, on September 29, 1967. The first episodes of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and The Prisoner both aired that night. Here’s our little anniversary celebration!

Jekyll and Hyde tells a story that takes place many years after the events of Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella. This 2015 ITV series sees Henry Jekyll’s grandson Robert embroiled in a world filled with strange monsters. Mysterious organizations are trying to control Jekyll — or are they looking for someone else? The series was created by Charlie Higson. 
Being Human was a BBC Three series that ran from 2009 through 2013. A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost share an apartment and try to have normal “human” lives. Will the supernatural world leave them in peace, or will things get more complicated? 
Robert’s Robots was a 1970s ITV comedy for children. Robert Sommerby is building robots! The robots look like humans, so some confusion will follow…. 
Chimera was a 1991 ITV serial from writer Stephen Gallagher. Not all is as it seems at the Jenner Fertility Clinic. Human and chimpanzee genetic material are being mixed — but what will be the result? 
Dead Set was a 2008 Channel 4 (E4) serial about zombies invading the Big Brother house. Charlie Brooker bring us the usual zombie mayhem along with Davina McCall as a zombie-version of herself! 
Cruise of the Gods was a 2002 production about the stars of The Children of Castor meeting their fans on a cruise. The fictional 1980s science-fiction series sets up the satire of real science-fiction fans in this comedy. 
Moondial was a 1988 Children’s BBC serial that combined ghost-story elements with time travel. Minty finds herself talking to children from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. What can she do to help them? Who is the sinister Miss Raven, and what does she represent? 
A Ghost Story for Christmas was an annual event on the BBC in the 1970s. We are looking at The Treasure of Abbot Thomas and The Ash Tree. Both are adaptations of ghost stories by M.R. James. 
Shelock Holmes in the 22nd Century was a 1999 Scottish/American animated co-production that was broadcast on ITV. A revived Sherlock Holmes teams up with Inspector Beth Lestrade (a descendant of the original Lestrade) and a robot version of Doctor Watson. They must solve new versions of classic cases and go up against a clone of an enemy…. 
Ghostboat was a spooky ITV drama from 2006. A missing submarine from World War II reappears in 1981, in the midst of the Cold War. A new journey in an old vessel leads to a strange mix of Cold War and World War II events. Can a submarine be haunted? 
Joe 90 was a Gerry Anderson Supermarionation series from the late 1960s. Joe is a nine-year-old boy, and he’s also the most special agent of the World Intelligence Network! That’s because the amazing “BIG RAT” machine adds new skills, knowledge and abilities to his mind in each episode…. 
Raven was a supernatural ITV serial from 1977. It had elements of environmentalism, astrology and even Arthurian Legends. 
Codename Icarus was a 1981 BBC serial that ran in five parts. A teenage mathematical genius goes to a new school and finds some strange things there. Ties to the world of espionage begin to emerge. What does this have to do with super-weapons? 
In the Flesh was a 2013/2014 Zombie series from BBC3. “Partially Deceased Syndrome” sufferers are treated and return to society in a more human-like form. The interactions between these former-zombies and the rest of society are the focus of this allegory-filled drama. 
The Picture of Dorian Gray was a 1976 BBC “Play of the Month” adaptation of the novel by Oscar Wilde. An English gentleman’s portrait ages and changes while his own appearance remains young and innocent. What consequences will fall on Dorian Gray and those around him?
